The NBBA Stats Website Is Live

The NBBA Stats website is now live.

This site brings player stats, team history, league leaders, World Series history, Hall of Fame information, live game scoreboards, and the digital scorecard all into one platform. The goal is simple. Make it easier to follow the game, preserve league history, and give players, fans, scorekeepers, and volunteers a better way to explore the NBBA.

There is a lot to dig into, and each part of the site serves a different purpose.

Player Stats and Profiles

The player section gives users a better way to look up career numbers, review season-by-season production, and explore player profiles in one place.

As more information is added, this section will continue to grow into a stronger record of the athletes who have helped build the league. It is not just about totals and rankings. It is also about making sure players and their contributions are visible and easier to find across all eras.

Team History

The team pages are designed to show both current and historical information. Users can explore team stats by year, review lifetime rosters, and get a better sense of how teams have grown and changed over time.

For longtime supporters of the league, this is a chance to reconnect with teams and seasons they remember. For newer players and fans, it is a good way to learn the background of the organizations competing today. This section is still being developed as more information is needed from beep baseball historians.

League Leaders and Comparisons

The league leader pages and comparison tools give the site another level of depth.

Users can compare players, look at all-time and season leaders, and get a clearer picture of where performances stand in relation to others across the league. These tools add context and make the stats more useful, especially for people who enjoy digging deeper into the numbers.

World Series History

The World Series section is one of the most important areas of the site.

This part of the website is meant to help preserve the championship history of the NBBA in a way that is easier to access and understand. Visitors can explore past World Series years, locations, champions, standings, special awards, and other important details tied to the league’s biggest event.

The goal is not only to list winners, but to build a stronger historical record of the World Series itself. Over time, this section should become an even more valuable resource for players, fans, and anyone interested in the history of the game.

Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame section is another major piece of the site.

This area is meant to honor the people who have made a lasting impact on the NBBA, whether through athletic achievement, leadership, service, or long-term dedication to the game. It gives users a place to learn more about the individuals whose names are part of the league’s history.

A strong Hall of Fame section matters because it helps connect generations. It gives newer players and fans a better understanding of who helped shape the league and why those contributions still matter today.

Live Scores and Streams

One of the most exciting features of the site is the Live Scores and Streams page.

This page is designed to be the main place to follow featured games during events and tournaments. When available, it can show a featured live stream through an embedded YouTube player, along with live scoreboards for games being scored through the digital scorecard.

Each live scoreboard shows the teams, inning, outs, current score, and the latest recorded play. There is also an optional voice toggle that can provide play-by-play updates when runs and outs are entered.

Please note that the voice toggle only seems to be working on computers at the moment. It is not speaking on phones or tablets. We hope to have this fixed soon.

When games end, they move into a Final Scores section so users can still find results after live action is over.

It is important to note that live scoreboards only update for games being scored with internet access and with the Go Live option turned on. If a scorekeeper does not have internet access, or does not choose to go live, the scorecard can still be used, but that game will not update on the public live page in real time.

Gameday Scorecard

The digital Gameday Scorecard is another major part of the platform.

It is fully screen reader accessible and is designed to work on phone, tablet, or computer, giving scorekeepers a digital option for entering lineups, recording plays, tracking innings, handling substitutions, and following game flow. It supports both quick games and tournament games. In tournament mode, synced rosters will populate the scorecard to make setup easier.

The scorecard also includes a built-in Help section with a quick reference guide, along with downloadable handbooks for sighted and screen reader users.

The scorecard can function without internet access for the core scoring workflow once rosters have been synced. The main exception is the live scoreboard feature, which requires internet access in order to send updates to the public live page.

Testing Phase

Please note that the digital scorecard has not yet been officially approved by the NBBA and is currently in its testing phase.

Everyone is encouraged to test it, share feedback, and help identify areas that need repairs or improvements. For now, paper scoresheets should still be used in tandem for official records.

What’s Next

This website is meant to keep growing. More data will be added, more history will be documented, and more features will continue to improve over time.

Over the coming days, we will also be highlighting different features of the site in separate posts so people can get a closer look at what is available and how to use it.

Please keep in mind that stats are extremely limited prior to 1998, and both the statistical and historical record will continue to be updated.

If you have corrections, data to contribute, or would like your player profile photo updated, please email stats@nbba.org.
