THE NATIONAL BEEP BASEBALL ASSOCIATION GEARS UP FOR the 2018 WORLD SERIES
Visit Eau Claire to host event at Eau Claire Soccer Park
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Jul. 9, 2018) – At the upcoming Beep Baseball World Series being held at Eau Claire Soccer Complex during the week of July 31-August 4, 2018, the Beep Baseball World Series will be hosting teams from two continents and three countries. Teams from Taiwan, Canada, and the United States will all be in attendance, competing for the world championship of beep baseball.
Darnell Booker, 2nd Vice President and Director of Public Relations for the NBBA, stated, “Since the inception of Beep baseball in 1976, the sport and the NBBA has grown beyond the expectations of the original founding fathers. The equipment of beep baseball is solely manufactured in Denver Colorado and shipped globally. The twenty-two teams attending the 2018 World Series are a product of the outreach that has been done by the NBBA and the Denver Beep Ball Group and will continue in the future. Everyone is excited because of the anticipated level of athleticism and competition that will be seen.”
Linda John, Executive Director for Visit Eau Claire, says the presence of this event is indicative of the inclusive sports culture that exists here in Eau Claire. “We host sporting events that are happily outside of the mainstream. That’s something that we’ve always done and the Beep Baseball World Series is the perfect fit,” said John.
The estimated economic impact totals over $406,000.
